Am I missing something or does the AP healdine “Obama puts heat on Palin as she boosts GOP ticket” seem a bit strange? Why is the top of the Democratic presidential ticket addressing the bottom half of the Repubican ticket? It seems The One is upset that Palin is stealing his change:
That is supposed to be Obama’s distinction, and he’s not taking kindly to Palin trying to claim it. Especially when it appears the new star on the GOP ticket is helping boost its standing: McCain has jumped to a dead heat or narrow lead over Obama in the latest national polls since choosing Palin as his running mate.
I guess when you have a counterproductive running mate like Biden, it sort of begins to make sense:
“I hear all this talk about how the Republicans are going to work in dealing with parents who have both the joy, because there’s joy to it as well, the joy and the difficulty of raising a child who has a developmental disability, who were born with a birth defect. Well guess what folks? If you care about it, why don’t you support stem cell research?”
Taking the high road, huh? Yikes. Where does one start? First, he called the baby “it” and then used “it” to make a politically motivated statement. Classy.
UPDATE: While the Democratic presidential nominee attacks the GOP VP nominee, David Plouffe is attacking a ABC/WaPo poll — and i quote, “Your poll is wrong.” It seems that the Obama campaign has temporarily lost its focus.
