Bloomberg: Economy “fundamentally… strong”

Bloomberg today said (via Ben Smith):

“I do agree that fundamentally America has an economy that is strong,” he said. “America’s great strength is its diversity, its hard work, its good financial statements, its broad capital markets, its enormous natural resources” and its work ethic, he said.

Earlier today:

McCain, speaking before a town hall meeting, said that the fundamentals of our economy are strong” before adding the caution that “these are very, very difficult times and I promise you we will never put America in this position again.”

An Obama aide calls the first part of McCain’s sentence “an enormous mistake,” and said that the campaign will seek to amplify the comment through surrogates, principles and maybe even television ads.

The McCain camp can clearly play a video of Obama praising Bloomberg and the cut to this latest Bloomberg quote.

  1. Funny, how that sentiment comes from the rich guys!

REGULAR people have to pay for gas, medical coverage, and Bush’s war costs.
